Bill Park

Biography

Bill Park has been a Senior Lecturer in the Defence Studies Department, King’s College, London, since 2000, and has been based primarily at the UK’s Defence Academy. He was formerly Principal Lecturer at the JSCSC, Bracknell, and at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich. From 1981 to 1991 he was Visiting Lecturer (Part-time) at City University, London, and from 1975 to 1978, Lecturer in International Politics, Liverpool Polytechnic. He has authored journal articles, book chapters, newspaper articles, blog pieces and monographs on a range of Turkish foreign policy issues, including its EU accession prospects, the Cyprus problem, Turkey’s policies towards the KRG, its domestic Kurdish issue, Turkey-US relations, the Fethullah Gulen movement, and the Ergenekon affair.

He is currently a Visiting Research Fellow in the Defence Studies Department.
